Trace My Steps
Miaree aims to provide transparency across all of our pieces.
Our pieces are designed in Sydney and ethically manufactured in Perth. By partnering with local makers, we’re able to closely monitor quality, ensure all employees work in safe and fair conditions, and minimise our overall environmental impact.
Miaree sources premium, sustainable fibres both independently and in collaboration with our manufacturers and suppliers. Our fabrics are carefully selected from around the world, including France, the UK, Italy, and Australia.
Product Footprint
Miaree prioritises local manufacturing to help reduce our environmental impact. Shorter transport distances throughout our supply chain significantly lower our overall carbon footprint.
Additionally, our digital printing process produces fewer carbon emissions than traditional screen printing and fabric dyeing. This is because digital printing requires minimal setup—avoiding excess waste from test prints—and allows for on-demand production, helping to prevent overproduction..
Carbon Footprint
We use digital printing to create our beautiful printed fabrics, a far more sustainable method compared to traditional screen printing.
Digital printing uses significantly less water, helping us keep our water consumption as low as possible. This is because it doesn’t require the extensive cleaning involved in screen printing. It also uses water-based reactive inks, which need minimal rinsing and maintenance.
Furthermore, our fabric printers use a specialised heat-fixing process that sets the colours and prints without the need for excessive washing. This prevents excess or contaminated water from entering waste systems.

Packaging
We aim to use sustainably sourced packaging across all of our products.
Our swing tags are crafted from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper and all of our packaging (wrapping, shopping bags) is made from sustainably sourced paper.
Additionally, for customer orders, products are shipped in 100% recycled plastic postage bags.
Repair & Reuse
Miaree works with various organisations to ensure we are following a circular economy across all of our products.
We partner with recycling facilities, such as BlockTex, that takes fabric and textile waste and recycles them into new fabrics and products.
Additionally, we offer a tailoring service, where if any Miaree product doesn’t fit to your liking, the product can be altered by our expert tailoring staff.
